Sib. First: Sibelius First Audio Playback Windows 10

I am using Sibelius First version 7.1.3 on a new Windows 10 laptop, and I am experiencing the following issues:

1. I am not able to hear any audio from Sibelius First (neither the startup music, nor the playback tab when I have a score open). I am able to hear audio from other devices on the machine (Windows Media Player, Amazing Slow Downer, Groove Music App).

2. I use Sibelius First in conjunction with an audio program (Amazing Slow Downer by Roni, Windows Media Player, Groove player). For whatever reason, I am unable to have both open at the same time. For example, I have an audio track playing in the Amazing Slow Downer, and then I open Sibelius First and it causes the audio to stop in Amazing Slow Downer, as if there is some sort of conflict.

FYI, I have Sibelius First working perfectly on a different Windows 10 machine.

If you are using an ASIO driver for your sound card (including WASAPI) these are generally single client only and therefore only one audio app will work at a time. If you have another audio app running before Sibelius and it is using an ASIO driver to play audio, Sib will not be able to wrest control of the sound chip/card from that app.

Can you post screen prints of your Audio Engine Options and Playback Devices dialogs?

Attach the first one to your reply then find your post and click edit (bottom right of post) and then add the second.

OK, I figured it out, though not sure exactly what I did it. I played around with the Windows 10 sound settings as well as with the Sibelius First audio engine settings. I have attached a screenshot of my final audio engine settings that worked.

You appear not to have installed the Sibelius 7 First Sounds sample library.

You're right I don't think I do. I am downloading it now, though I don't think that was the reason it wasn't playing originally.
