Hi everyone,

Last week we released a new update to Avid Scorch, our iOS companion app.

For those of you that are new to Avid Scorch, you can find an overview here: http://www.avid.com/products/avid-scorch

Here's a summary of the improvements we've made:


  • Ability to connect and play back via Bluetooth and USB MIDI devices. This, for example, allows you to play back your scores via many of the latest Bluetooth MIDI keyboards. When viewing a score, try tapping on the cog icon in the top right, and you'll find there a new Playback Devices menu, where you can configure your MIDI device

  • Support for Sibelius 8.3 files

  • Many, many bug fixes



In terms of future development, you can expect to see much more regular updates as we go forward.

Sibelius 7.1.3 on 10.6.8, and the increasingly buggy scorch 1.2 on iOS 9 so using ForScore with AirTurn BT104
