FIngering down
Posted by JOBO - 17 Jun 08:58AM
Dear Friends,

I would like to add a new Text style, called " Fingering down". This I could do in version 6, but now no more..

It should write fingering down the note. I already made a shortcut Alt+ F for normal Fingering.

The new one, I would like to assign the shorcut Shift+ Alt+ F

I managed to create a new Text style, but cannot find in House Style>Default Position>below bottom stave( as I did in Sibelius 6)

Can someone lead me srepwise thriugh this process?

Many thanks,
Best Regards,

Johan

What is it that you "cannot find", in what dialogue window?

Sibelius 8.3/7.5.1/7.1.3/6.2/5.2.5, PhotoScore Ult 8.0.4, Dolet 6.6 for Sibelius, Windows 8.1/10 64-bit 16GB.

The Default Positions page is now here (see attached screen shot). If you created the new Text Style successfully, it should appear in the list, juat as in Sibelius 6.

I'm sure you remember that this Text Style won't be global, to use it in future scores you'll need to save a House Style or Manuscript Paper containing it.

As you knew the name of the function you were looking for - "Default Positions" - you could have found it by typing just that into the Find in Ribbon box, top right of the Sibelius page. Or, of course, by using the Search function in the manual. It gets trickier when you want something but DON'T know its exact name!
