I have created an account with Avid so I can "subscribe" to an upgrade (although I do not wish to download 8.3 until I ever need to). However, when I try to pay for it using a card I am unable to verify my card because the avid advertising at the bottom of the screen blocks out the submit portion.

I have now paid the £70.80 and bought the subscription for a year. Although the submit button was obscured, just pressing "return" submitted the verification. Hope this helps anyone else like me who is not computer literate.

My account now says "on hold". I presume if I put in my old Sib6.2 serial number it will validate the upgrade when I need it?

I've had a problem as well -- the $89 upgrade came up once, but the purchase button (I don't remember what it was) didn't do anything. Since then, the $89 upgrade to 8.3 isn't available -- only a new subscription (monthly) or the full product. Tech support has not gotten back to me for 2 days.

That suggests that your update HAS gone through. Are there any downloads waiting in your Avid Account? Look in the non-intuitive places too!

Thank you. Yes, it had gone through. I omitted to add it says "on hold" in the my products part of my account.
