Technique Text Anomaly (Sib 8.3 with Sib 7.5 Sounds)

Sibelius 8.3 combined with playback from Sibelius 7.5 Sounds: When using technique text and selecting “pizz.” (or typing it in), I find pizzicato playback works for 1st violins, 2nd violins, and violas. However, for cellos and basses, it continues to play “arco” even though it has a “pizz.” indication. (I’ve made no edits or changes in the playback dictionary or anywhere else.) I welcome any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks!

I'll have to guess, because we don't have the information.

You are using a Mac, and the score has many staves per system. This is a known defect of Sibelius Player on Mac. There is no fix.

As a work-around, you may try using Playback Configuration "Sibelius 7 Sounds (Lite)"

If there is a Bass Clarinet in the orchestra, do make sure that you have applied the Bass Clarinet fix for Sibelius 7.5 Sounds.

Thank you again, Robin. I'm on Windows 10 and the lite version of Sibelius 7.5 Sounds gives correct playback. The score is obviously too big (over 800 measures long) to be played back correctly using the full version of Sibelius 7.5 Sounds.

The issue is not (or should not be) a function of how many measures there are in the score, but an issue of how many staves there are per system (or page).

OK; I see. The score contains over 30 staves per system although I do "hide" staves when they're not in use (which occasionally allows multiple systems on some pages in the score).
