Program adds unnecessary rests at end of measure

Trying to work in layers. Program decides it's going to fill in these rests, even though I'm in 2/4 and the rhythms notated already ARE 2/4 rhythms.

How do I delete them? I'd try "hiding" them, except the playback still registers them.

I use Finale. Please help.

Tried uploading a picture. Apparently I can't do that either.

Avid, get with the program here. Finale just makes so much more sense.

On this forum, attachments must (a) be less than 1 MByte in size, and (b) be only of types .sib, .png, or .jpg, with the filename extension spelt in lower case. Even then, some .jpg sub-types are not accepted.

Since your problem relates to timing, it would be more helpful to attach the .sib score file itself, rather than a picture of it.

Is this a score that you've transferred from Finale? It's not unusual for incorrect bar lengths to show up. Like Robin says, show us the sib file please.
