>This presentation, while technically public, will directly reach a relatively few individuals who are either members of MOLA or who have registered themselves and paid a fair amount to go to the conference. I'm not minimising the significance of it, but it would be nice if something more accessible to the wider potential clientele appears before too long.

I think this is written out of a sincere desire many of us share..WE want to see it, and try it out, too, for ourselves:) And I couldn't agree more with that sentiment!
I am constantly amazed at the number of people who have actually done this and the COMPLETELY unanimous, positive, and glowing verdict I keep hearing-- ie, basically, "its the BEST and will blow Sib and Fin right out of the water". This is honestly what I keep hearing, just about word for word, from every person I speak to, or see writing about it.
And the last two I spoke at length online to--both of whom I had no idea had seen it, and tried it, and the depth to which one had actually contributed ideas to--would not speak specifics, and rightfully so--but one has completely "severed ties" with AVID, and has removed any trace of them, or Sib "off their machines", and are using another program until the actual release; and the other has "mothballed" their present computers, to keep them at their present OS so their Sib 7 keeps running, along with NotePerformer.
>I had toyed with the idea that Steinberg might actually release something by the end of June
I think many of us hoped this might happen, in light of the impending subscription deadline, but my honest opinion is that it probably wont happen now, but is in the very near foreseeable future, instead of it just being something we keep reading about.
And its to our advantage that Philip Rothman will be at this conference, so Im sure we'll see a fair and complete write up of whats shown.
Again, all the best to Daniel and team-its been a long hard and difficult road from being fired here by AVID to designing and creating a completely new program, from scratch.
Kudos also to Yamaha/Steinberg for hiring them all, and having the foresight to have this new app created.
Thanks Bob
PS With this program probably not being released at this time, it leaves many with the dilemma of whether to subscribe or not, and just keep using whatever version of Sib they're at, until Steinberg is released and they become proficient on it.
Its a very real problem, and decision to be made.
