I think I used to do this easily in Sib3, but can't find it any more: I need a file of one opera scene to begin with the rehearsal number 23...

Select bar 1. Enter rehearsal mark (Ctrl/r).
Appearance/EngravingRules/RehearsalMarks. Bar number.
Text/Numbering/BarNumberChange. New bar number.

The Manual says: "If, instead, you want to start a new sequence of rehearsal marks, or otherwise set options:
* Click the menu part of the Text > Rehearsal Marks > Rehearsal
Mark button, and choose Restart Sequence."

In the dialogue box that appears, choose the number/letter at which to restart the sequence.

Thanks; maybe I'll understand better after actually trying those hints, but 1) I'm not talking about bar numbers 2) I don't need to restart at 1, but skip ahead to 23.
ps. Yes Chris, now I see the dialogue! It added the 23 to the bar after the highlighted 1, but that's easily put right. I wonder if "Restart sequence" used to be "Begin sequence with" or if it's my memory...
