R. Vaughan Williams uses a tremolo notation in part of the 4th movement epilogue that's not fitting - the 2nd violins have a figure that calls for a two note tremolos that use 12 notes and 6 notes (see attached) - they are notated differently than the adjacent violas. I know that there is a way to hide a second voice and silence the visible voice (see thread http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?com=thread&start=681153&groupid=3&words=&name=cminor7th) but this adds the dotted notes and that won't fit the measure. I can't find a good discussion here or in the manual.

Any suggestions

Sib doesn't like this. This is the closest I can get, writing in 9/8 time and hiding rests in the violins. Can't lose the rhythm dots in the violas, nor create touching tremolo beams on quarter tremolos.
