Bar 58 is a 2nd ending in the score but does not appear in parts. I've tried moving the beam of both the first and second endings. What am I doing wrong??

I deleted the second ending, put it over two measures, and messed with the ending of the 1st ending a bit (pulled it back a bit). It worked, see attachment.

Thanks, David!!

I did the same thing. But there was just a tiny little 2nd ending that appeared, which I could then maneuver into a separate & presentable ending. We shouldn't have to go through these kind of hoops to make our manuscript to look this way!!

Yeah, that's kinda what happened to me too. Supposedly the 8.1 update has addressed this issue.

It should be a patch that they offer EVERY version of Sibelius. This is a fix, not a new feature. Of course I am preaching to the choir...... Can't wait for the new competitors product to come out.

How did you create the 2x bracket that disappears in the Part? I've never managed to reproduce this problem in my own scores, though it pops up from time to time in a score posted here. The solution is invariably to simply delete the existing bracket and re-create it.

I don't think this has anything to do with the irritation of a bracket applied to a selected bar extending too far, which does seem solved in the latest version.

Hi Laurence, I simply highlighted one bar in the score where I wanted the second ending to appear (after I had created the 1st ending) and hit "L". I chose the open 2nd ending and applied it. Yes, I ended up deleting the existing 2nd ending and re-created it using the same method, but this time I highlighted 2 bars and applied the bracket. the 2nd ending bracket then barely showed it's self in the parts. I had to go through every part and adjust the 2nd ending to make it look proper.

As to Avid fixing this in the latest version, this should be a fix to all versions because this is a "Fix" and not a "New Feature". Very frustrating to be spending this much time on this!!!

Can anyone reproduce this? I can't.

Stanley, are you working on a score which is based on a very old House Style or Manuscript Paper? Do you see this problem on newly created scores from a default shipped House Style? (not one of your own)
