Hello,
I input tempos in the score but they don't play back. What to do?

To be more specific:
I select the bar, command t, drop down menu select quarter note = 120. It prints above the bar. During playback the playback speed slider works independently of the tempo markings.

You need to use Tempo Text style (or Metronome Mark style), but you have used Technique Text.

Try [cmd][opt]t. That should give you Tempo text. Also, make sure that Live playback/live tempo are off (the lightning bolt and conductor buttons on the transport panel).

I tried now to use Tempo Text with only the quarter note bpm and not the Italian descriptive word. The tempos do change with the number on the playback slider is different than the one in the score. Therefore, it is not playing back accurately. I did disable live playback and live tempo.
Problem still not fixed.

Problem Solved! Just needed to close Sibelius and restart computer.
