Hello All,

I encountered a strange problem with Sibelius 7.5 for Mac. When I go to import an XML file the file folder opens but only Garage Band and iTunes are available no matter what I click on (Documents, Desktop, Applications, etc.). This also happens when I click on Midi File.

No idea why this started happening. Any thoughts why and how to correct it?

To import a MusicXML file into Sibelius, firs launch Sibelius, and then use the Import facility within the Sibelius Quick Start window, or use the File->Open facility within Sibelius to open the MusicXML file.

You cannot do this by double-clicking a MusicXML file within the Mac OS Finder.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for your reply. However, I think you did not completely understand my issue. This problem is happening within Sibelius. In other words, I open Sibelius, click on the Import XML, the text box then opens. Here is where it gets weird. I go to click Documents, where there XML file is located and nothing happens. I can only access iTunes and thus cannot get to the file to open the XML (or any other files besides music).

What happens if you drop a XML file into an open Sibelius window?

Laurence, that worked! Still doesn't explain why it won't import XML via the dialogue box but I'll take it. Thanks!
