Hi, I am using Sibelius 8 with Window 10, and I am suddenly experiencing an error from the software; since last Saturday, every time I try to put a note or even when I click the first pause of the piece, the message "Unhandled Error" appears and Sibelius is being quit. The crash report is saying that Sibelius has quit unexpectedly, but I cannot find any solution about this error. What should I do? pls help.

If it happens when you click a note, it is probably a problem with the Windows drivers for the selected audio output device.

First, try closing down and restarting Windows. Then, if that does not fix it, tell us about the sound card of your PC. Attach a screen-shot of Sibelius's "Audio Engine Options" dialogue.

In addition, can you describe the steps to reproduce this issue in detail, so that I may provide them to one of our developers to take a look at?

Attaching a windows system report would be useful too. Here's how:

1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard
2. Type msinfo32, press return
3. Click File > Save
4. Attach the saved file to your reply

We're seeing a few of these unhandled error crashes on our end too. Which version of Windows are you running on? Have you updated recently.

I'm getting an unhandled error anytime I try to play on all the sample scores with a new install, Win 7 home premium 64. I have a crash log and did several submits to avid.

jgury, you need to check that your audio output device driver is up to date. If you still need help, tell us the brand and model of audio output device.
