Thanks for all help in getting me to successfully activate
Sibelius.8 recently purchased.
I am now stuck with a similar problem as to how I can activate the 'Photoscore & Notate me ultimate' software which came with it as part of the 'Bundle'
I have tried to do this via Neuratron's web site but never managed to get to the right place.
Thanks Robin, I am already using Photoscore ultimate bought as a 'Bundle' from Avid together with Sibelius.8 when I was about half way through a 30 day trail. it works fine (as does Sibelius.8), but I notice every time I load Photoscore I can see that it is described as Version 8.0.4 (Demo Version). I am concerned that it may disappear when my original 30 days trial is up, especially since I still haven't found a way to activate it. I am terribly disappointed with Avid's complicated way of getting their products up and running. By the way I still haven't found out how to download Sibelius Sounds Essential.

The PhotoScore demo version is a different application to the purchased product of PhotoScore. Probably, you need to uninstall the PhotoScore Demo, and then download and install the purchased version of PhotoScore Ultimate. You quote your PhotoScore activation credentials (quoted in your Avid account download page) to the PhotoScore installer during the installation.

PhotoScore is not an Avid product. Avid are reselling a Neuratron product.

Do you really mean "Sibelius Sounds Essential"? That is a term which related only to Sibelius 5 and Sibelius 6.
If you mean Sibelius 7 Sounds, then you download the installer from your Avid account page. You un-zip the downloaded ZIP archive, then execute the enclosed installer.

Sibelius 8.1/7.5.1/7.1.3/6.2/5.2.5, PhotoScore Ult 8.0.4, Dolet 6.4 for Sibelius, Windows 7 32-bit SP1 4GB, Windows 8.1 64-bit 16GB.
Thanks to you Robin and working from my Avid Account as instructed, I am now ok with PhotoScoreUltimate up and running.
However for installing Sibelius Sounds, despite your instructions "un-zip the downloaded ZIP archive, then execute the enclosed installer." I cannot get any further with it (I am only a user of software not an IT expert)
I have tried double clicking on the downloaded file and right clicking etc. but it just seems to be doing something very slowly and showing messages about percentage completed and '3 days 16 hours to go', so I abandon those attempts.
Hi Robin,I am using Windows 10 and right now I am downloading (I hope) Sibelius Sounds having opened the zip file using Winrar as advised by another Avid support person. just a little while ago it had got to 501 MB out of Sibelius Sounds 23.2 GB at approx 400KB/Sec and forecasting something like 16 hours
I guess that your PC must have a very slow hard disk to get figures like that: I would normally expect the un-zip operation to take no more than 20 minutes. I hope that you have enough free disk space to do all this. I also hope that WinRAR is not, in addition to the un-zip, also de-compressing the files found inside the archive, as the Sounds Installer expects to do that.
For future reference, no third-party application (like WinRAR) is needed to do anything here. Windows is capable of un-zipping a zip archive itself, just by right-clicking on the zip file.

Yes it is pretty well a brand new Windows10Pc which says it has 1.3TB of 1.8TB available so must be plenty space, but I have noticed it can be very slow when using the internet compared with my old Windows7.
I take your point about not needing Winrar or anything else, because what is happening now is the same as when I simply double clicked on it. It is a pity that I have had no previous experience of zipped folders
Please tell me what the answer is!!! I have this problem and I reinstalled Sibelius and everything, but nothing works and now Avid's own customer care is telling me to contact Neuratron support!
