Hi all

I recently bought a new MBPro, in which I installed Sibelius 7.5, and in which I believed I had Sibelius 7 Sounds installed since I transferred all my data from my previous computer. It turns out that Sib 7 sounds was NOT installed. I am installing now from a stored installer that I have kept in a separate drive.

However, I see that there is a Sibelius 7.5 sounds download link. Is this a different sound set? My understanding was that it was not, and that there were some updates done only.

I have also downloaded the Sibelius Sounds updater from the Avid site, which I will run once the S7S are installed.

Thanks to anyone who can clarify.

Sib 7 Sounds plus the 7.5 updater will be fine. Don't forget the Bass Clarinet Patch.

Thank you, Any idea where this bass clarinet patch is? And I understand it will be fine, however are the 7.5 sounds actually different from the 7?

The Sounds havent substantially changed since Sibelius 7.0. There was a small updater issued for Sibelius 7.12, available at;

http://www.sibelius.com/helpcenter/upgrades.html

and another for Sibelius 7.5, which I think you already have. If your main installer was the 7.0 version, I don't THINK you have to run both updaters, but it couldn't do any harm to run the 7.0 - 7.1 one first.

Both updaters were merely minor tweaks and bugfixes. The Sounds didn't change.
