Hi
Is there a way to deactivate the pinch to zoom in 8.0.1.
It seems to be a new feature which is probably very helpful but not really efficient when you scroll up/down. When you scroll up/down with 2 fingers on a magic trackpad or on a MBP, you have a little zoom permanently on each movement.....it's very....annoying!!!
An idea?
this problem is NOT fixed in 8.1.1 the suggestion to keep fingers steady or close together are not helpful. this is broken software. I have given up hope that Avid can or will ever fix this.
I'm sorry (and frustrated I must admit) to hear this is still a problem. I'm very much interested to get it fixed, although I do hope you'll have noticed some improvement in Sib 8.1.0.
For those that are still experiencing problems, please could I ask you to do the following:
* Double check you've got Sib 8.1.1.
* Open QuickTime Player
* Click File > New Screen Recording
* Make a recording of the behaviour that you're seeing
I will send you a link individually to allow you to upload the resulting recording to me. Please also upload an Apple System Profile, which you can create as follows:
* Click the Apple icon in the top left > About this Mac
* Click System Report
* Click File > Save
* Upload the resulting report
Users may remember me posting on this topic before - it's been difficult for us to pin down because we're not seeing this behaviour internally.
Thank you for your attention on this subject.
In my case I keep changing the zoom inadvertently not because of the previous bug. It occurs often when I use the laptop on my lap when the other hand accidentally lightly touches the trackpad.
A simple disable option in preferences would do the job.

Sibelius 8.1.1 / Mac Pro 2.8GHz(8)- 14GB RAM / Mac OS 10.10.5
I've been writing (when I'm using Sibelius) exclusively on a Macbook Pro, and Rev. 7 did not do this annoying zoom in and out by any random touch or separating of your "drag fingers". I'm running 8.1.1 - just installed it last weekend, and spent the weekend growling at my computer! :)
Yes, I am switching back to Finale, all my students at all 3 music conservatories are complaining about this problems as well. They are switching to Finale.
I have one old Macbook pro with Sibelius 7 that is working just fine, trying to figure out a way to move that version to my current laptop.
Sorry this is an ongoing issue - it's proven surprisingly difficult to fix in house.
We have some great improvements to this in early builds of Sibelius 8.3, which we were demoing at MusikMesse last week. We'll be making this available to everyone soon.
