Hello all,

I bought the Soudsetproject for Choir and now Strings. Can’t get them to work. They’ve responded to my emails but we’re not on the same page or something. I use their configuration and followed their instructions I think exactly. Any ideas?

There are probably people here that can give you specific advice about this problem, but my advice would be to try to get on the same page with SoundSetProject. There are few people more willing to help users that Johnathan Loving (unless he has gone through a radical change in the last couple years). There are also few people more knowledgeable
in this area of Sibelius.

Once you and he understand the problem, you will find his advice invaluable.

Please forgive the question, but did you also purchase the relevant sound library? The soundset is an xml file that tells Sibelius which patches to use for a given notation. It does not include the actual sounds.

Yes, I have the library. Jonathan had been helpful so far. I’ve managed to get the manual configurations to play the instruments I load in PLAY, but am still confused as to which ones to load onto the various channels per instance. Which ones do I select because none in my EW Gold library are named the same as those in the Program/Sound I.D. section.
Once I do get them appropriately set up, how does one manage a workflow? I have found that the Keyswitch string instrument, 1st VIOLINS SUS KS C0-F#0 Ni (1) for example, will respond to kewswitched notes placed well below the staff - are people using that and then somehow hiding them?
