PC, Sib7.13 & Sib8

I have Sib7.13 on my computer.
I have just downloaded the Sib8 program.
I did not download the 7.5 sounds.

I seem to recall that 7.13 sounds are an original group of 30GB plus an additional 5GB or more that came later.
I see that 7.5 sounds are about 24 GB.
With only 218GB of usable memory in my computer, I would appreciate additional space of 10GB or more.

1- How can these sound sets be the same if there is at least 10GB difference in their sizes?
2- What are the differences between 7.13 and 7.5 sounds?
3- Have any of the sound sets been improved in quality?
4- Now that I have Sib8, should I download 7.5 sounds?

The installer is about 23GB, but its contents are highly compressed, and, when installed, the sounds will occupy about 34GB.

If you have the 7.1.3 sounds, you can simply download the smaller "updater" for 7.5 sounds, and end up with the same result as if you had downloaded the full 7.5 sounds installer.

There is very little difference between versions of the sounds, just some bugs fixed, and balance adjusted.

Sibelius 8 used the 7.5 version of Sibelius 7 Sounds.

Version 7.5 of the sounds actually has one serious bug, which is fixed by the downloadable "Bass Clarinet patch".

Thank you, Robin.

I downloaded the 7.5 Sounds Updater to Downloads/Sibelius where the other Sib7 Sounds updates are stored. Is this correct, or should these be in C:\Program Files(x86)\Avid\Sibelius Sounds\Sibelius 7 Sounds (where the Bass Clarinet Patch is in \wind\), or another place?

The Bass Clarinet Patch was already in my Sib7 Sounds\Wind file (dated 11-2013), but I replaced it just in case.

The Sounds updater is an installation program. Download it anywhere you like then run it. After which it can be discarded.

The only Sounds update that has to be manually copied into place is the Bass clarinet patch. And it's ridiculous that it hasn't been incorporated into the standard Sounds installers and updaters by now..
