Hello,

I just installed Sibelius 7 on my second computer yet it keeps crashing right away. When I click on the application I get a window called "Try Sibelius 7" with options to buy online, activate, continue trial and specify license server. Whatever I click on it switches to my computer needing my permission because Sibelius wants to make changes. I click ok (I have no password) and them bam Sibelius closes right away. I tried opening one of my sibelius files but the same things keeps happening.

I have Yosemite 10.10.5 Mac with I think the latest version of Sibelius 7 (purchased in Sept. 2014). Not sure what's going on. Can anyone help?

This is a known effect with Yosemite. See:

The same thing has just started happening to me, several months after installing Yosemite. I tried the solution suggested in the link, but to no avail.

To be clear, It crashes just after saying "initialising playback system". THere are no notices about activating the application, which according to the Avid license control is actually active.

If this means anything to anyone, here are the problem details according to Apple:

Ben, your issue is nothing to do with the activation problem addressed in this thread. I suggest that you should start your own thread, and describe the symptoms afresh, in some detail.

I am experiencing the same problem. When I go to open the software, I cannot get past 'startup'. I get the Problem Report pop-up "Sibelius 7.5 quit unexpectedly".

Similarly, I am running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with Sibelius 7.5.1. I should also mention that I am running Virtual Drumline 2.5.5 through Kontakt player.

Very frustrated. Had no problems yesterday, today I cant open a file or the program itself.

I am not trying to activate. I have been activated for quite some time. Do I deactivate then reactivate?
