I would like to be able to show a Sibelius score on Youtube which scrolls with the music (also on Sibelius). Is there a way to do this - and without being too complicated.

I think you need Version 7.5 or later of Sibelius to do this.

You can use screen capture software that can save videos to do this. I use snagit to do that, but there are lots of programs that can do it in any version of Sibelius.

Robin,

I posted a similar question a couple of months ago but got no replies. You hint that it might be possible to have playback in panorama mode where the score continuously scrolls with the music. Is this possible and if so, how? I'm using 7.5.

Use export ->video. You can choose the quality/resolution of the output and whether or not you see the playback line/paper texture and so on. I have used this a lot recently to put some of my stuff on YouTube to see how it works. You don't need to be in panorama mode, that's just how it comes out. It won't show any title pages, but the video can be edited in a video editor if you want to put any 'extras' into the show.

Thanks Mike, I hadn't realized what video was for. I thought it was just for synchronizing audio to existing movies. I had no interest in that, so I ignored it. You pointed me to a valuable tool. Just what I needed.
