Hi,

is there a way I can export the Playback Devices settings? I work with Vienna Symphonic Library and VE Pro across my Studio Mac and my laptop, would be very time-saving if I could import these settings on the other machine for the same score..

Playback Configuration is a property of the host machine, not of the score that is being played back. So Playback Configurations do not travel with scores.

If two computers have identically-named playback devices and configurations, then it might be possible to transfer Playback Configuration files from one machine to another.

For that, the answer is the same as the answer in your other thread about Ideas:

See the section entitled "User editable files" in the Sibelius 7.5 Reference section 1.1, on pages 24-25.

Since that Reference was written, Apple have "hidden" the User Library from view. Do not use Spotlight/search to find the relevant files or folders. To open the User Library, in the Finder, hold down the Option key while pulling down the "Go" menu, and select "Library". Then, starting from the User Library, navigate through:

Application Support/Avid/Sibelius 7.5/

and there you will find the folders of user-editable files.

Do not attempt to alter the contents of the corresponding folders in the System Library.

When it comes to the folders in the System Library; should I not copy them either? (For replacing/updating it on the other system).

No!!! Absolutely do not copy anything from the System Library, nor add anything to the System Library of the target machine. The System Library should be considered as read-only, and out of bounds for any changes by the user.

The only area which should be written to or modified are the user-editable files in the User Library.

Anything in the User Library, like Ideas, can be moved from one User Library to another User Library. You will need to quit and re-launch Sibelius for the changes to be noticed.
