Easy with Legacy input.

thank you Adrian, this seems to work fine.
Now I studied the reference concerning this point and found:

-----
If you find yourself occasionally needing a legacy chord symbol, you can choose Chord symbol from the Chord symbols (special) category of the Text > Styles > Style gallery to type a single legacy chord symbol into the score. If you want, you can also assign a keyboard shortcut to the Chord symbols text style, and use that shortcut on the occasions when you require a legacy chord symbols.
---

This sounds promising, but I do not seem to be able to make it work. Can someone point me into the right direction here, please?

I use Legacy all the time, not just for occasional symbols. The new system of kord input doesn't allow me to write symbols the way I want them to be seen. Instead, In Preferences/KeyboardShortcuts/TextStyles, I have assigned Ctrl/K to Chord Symbol. This takes me directly to the Chord Symbol text style in which I have edited line spacing to 35% and 'Align to note Left' in Horizontal Position.

Incidentally, there is a bug in Sib7 which sometimes prevents Ctrl/K from displaying the input caret. I've not yet discovered what causes this, so on Daniel's advice I have also assigned Alt/K as a backup to Legacy Kords. This always works.

ahh, thanks Adrian, it is the KeyboardShortcuts/TextStyles I have to choose (and not the KeyboardShortcuts/Text tab)
It works as wished now.
