Hello,

I just registered Sibelius 7.5 with avid. Now am looking to download the actual program. I put in the CD into the drive and it spit it back out- the computer did not recognize the presence of a disc.

Any suggestions?

1. Carefully clean the DVD-ROM disk and try again;
2. Investigate whether your computer's disk reader can read DVD-ROMs (the disk is not a CD, it is a DVD);
3. Use another DVD-reader on another computer on your LAN, and share the DVD-reader over the LAN to where you want to install it;
4. Use another DVD-reader on another computer, and copy the contents of the DVD-disk to a suitably large USB memory stick, and then perform the installation from USB stick.

Also, it's always best to insert CDs and DVDs slowly and have the machine suck them in at the last moment. They are much more prone to breakage when you quickly shove the disk in.

If your disk drive is toast, it's too late for this but now you know for the future.

What CD do you feel will assist you with downloading the Sibelius 7 installation files from Avid?
