Sib. 7.5: Sibelius 7.5 Keeps Crashing

Hello

I've got Seblius 7.5 installed on multiple PCs and the software keeps crashing.

I am using Sibelius with some older M-Audio keyboards, does anyone know if this might be causing the issue, or has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Please describe in more detail what is meant by "crashing". Please supply the full text of any messages.

Have the Sibelius installations been updated to version 7.5.1, which resolved many error scenarios?

What usage tends to provoke the incidents?

Sib 7.5.1 seems really unstable on OS X Yosemite - I experience constant crashes, for example, opening a score, going to the violin 1 part, and dragging it to change the view. If I thought Sib 8 was more stable, I'd upgrade, but I'm gunshy and don't need any of the new features. I end up exporting scores to Sib 6 and working there, which is a drag because Sib 6 doesn't work with my LASS sound set.

This isn't everyone's experience. Please carry out the Mac OS maintenance procedure called "Repair Disk Permissions":

to see whether that ameliorates things.

This is definitely my experience. Been working with 7.5.1 for about 90 minutes this morning. Crashed at least 8 times. Not the first time I experience this frustration. I was told something a while back about files I can clear out of the system, but cannot remember. This seems to work for a while.

Bottom line it....Sibelius is and always has been prone to crashing, for me anyway.

Crashing: Application spins, shuts down, crash report generated. Caused by saving, printing parts....any random activity.

1. Please carry out the Mac OS maintenance procedure known as "Repair Disk Permissions";
2. Please tell us which third-party utilities and system add-ons are installed (such as Audio Hijack Pro, for instance);
3. Check that all your third-party utilities and system add-ons are updated to their latest version;
4. If you have third-party audio output hardware, please update the Mac OS drivers for that product to their latest version.

Please copy the crash report (all of it) into a follow-up here.
