Hi Sibeliusers ;-)

I'm new to Sibelius 7.5 - in the process of migrating from Sib6.

I'd like it so when I start a new score it will start up in a maximized window (I'm on a laptop so I need to use all my screen real estate), with the ribbon hidden as well as the timeline window hidden.

I've been trying to fiddle with the Set Custom View Options in the prefs, but alas no luck. New scores will open in non-maximized window with both ribbon and timeline showing.

However, scores that I save and reopen will have my view settings saved. Upon reopening they will show up maximized and without ribbon and timeline showing - as it was at the time of saving the score.

But can I make this global/default? Or at least incorporate it into my manuscript papers?

Any way to fix this?

Try setting it up the way you want. Then use
Preferences and in BOTH File and Display set Custom choice in each.

Sadly, I'm not able to make it work the way I want it to.

If I save a file with my preferred view settings, it looks the same when I reopen the file - great!

But I if start a new file using manuscript paper those view settings are not used and the score comes up un-maximized with all the default panels open.
I even tried to take the saved file (which works when I open it conventionally) and drop it in the manuscript paper folder. Again, when I start from the manuscript paper the view settings are dropped.

Is it possible to save view settings in manuscript paper at all?
