Can't find Mixer Volume control - used to have it but now not there.

where is it - anyone ??

......and now my playback command - (P) -isn't responding at all - I've obviously pressed something I shouldn't - help please.

press M on the keyboard for mixer volume control, if playback isn't working it suggests theres either a dialogue box open in the background or there is a problem with your sound, go to play setup, audio engine options, uncheck use vst sounds come back into sibelius follow steps again and recheck, if this doesn't work select rescan and start sib again.

If you are running on Windows there is also a problem where occasionally the Sibelius entries get hosed over in the Windows Registry. I've had this happen twice. As I recall, the mixer and a few other panels under View/Panels are checked and greyed out.

The first time this happened someone in Avid support cleaned out all the Sibelius entries in the Registry and I essentially had to do a re-install. The second time took a gamble and had Windows revert to a recently created restore point. Luckily, that worked and had no negative side effects.

Patrick, Robin and Philip - thank you so much for your responses -

(am using Mac - so no Windows) -

I did in fact get desired result by closing computer / and Sibelius down for an hour, and Voila, all was restored to normal when I booted up again -
though I am not sure why it wasn't working.
My guess is what Philip suggested may have been the problem.....

--but am grateful for your inputs - I was worried I'd miss my deadline
and your responses gave me hope.
