Sib. 7.5: Import audio files to Sibelius

I work on a music for narrator and chamber orchestra, and I want to insert to my Sibelius file few audio files with a narrator being recorded on them. Until now I understand that Sibelius can get just one audio file for all the music. Can you find a way how to insert more than one? How would I do it?

Convert all the little audio files to one big long one, with the correct timings, and use that as the single audio file for Sibelius.

An application like Audacity can possibly do the audio combining for you.

Or finalise the Sibelius score, Export Audio from it and mix in the narration files in a sequencer program. You can only force Sibelius to be a very inflexible and limited audio sequencer, that just isn't what it does.

I can't do this, because my process of composing the music includes the parts of the narration and i need the ability to assign the files in a very accurate and versatile timing .

Like Robin said, import all the audio files into a sequencing program like Audacity or Reaper, make sure they're all lined up the way you want them to, and then render the project to one audio file.

You can then import that audio file into your Sibelius score (see the manual).

You could even use Sibelius rewired to Reaper if your computer performance is reasonable.

Arrange all audio in Reaper with synchronized playback to Sibelius. If you want to try that we can give you more details.
