Thanks.

It turned out to be unreasonably difficult to get ligatures working in all the four cases (two platforms, two major versions of Sibelius), using a single font. A combination of magic and a very heavy mallet was required.

Forget magic and a heavy mallet..WD 40 and *duct tape* work REALLY well in these kinds of situations..:)

Thanks Bob

Maybe someone here will have a suggestion. I recently added the norfolk font set to my Sibelius 6.2 setup under Windows 7 Pro Svc Pk 1. When I try to print out a score that I imported the house style to, no noteheads printed. When I printed the same score to a PDF, the noteheads were there but all dotted notes displayed 8 where a dot should have been. I triple checked the music font setup and it clearly matches what is in the user guide. I have also already rebuilt my fonts all to no avail. Any thoughts? (and yes, I have passed this all by Philip, too). Thanks in advance . . . Joseph

Joseph, please check that you do not have duplicate Norfolk fonts installed of different versions.

In fact, please list the "Version" string for each of the Norfolk fonts that are installed in the Windows control panel "Fonts".

Hi Robin, I've already checked for duplicate fonts (this was my first ever download of the font) at Philip's suggestion. Here's the listing from my fonts folder:
Norfolk Metronome Std Regular 1505.14
Norfolk Ornaments Std Regular 1411.30
Norfolk Special Extra Std Regular 1411.30
Norfolk Special II Std Regular 1411.30
Norfolk Special Std Regular 1411.30

There seems to be an issue specifically with pdfFactory and Sibelius 6, and perhaps the Norfolk House Style. We'll see if we can track it down. Thanks, Robin, for investigating.

just a quick update, I loaded PDF Creator onto my PC and now, just as when I print from Sib 6.2 to my printer using the Norfolk housestyle, there are no noteheads in the printout (or PDF). I tried to create a new score thinking maybe it had something to do with importing the housedtyle into an existing score. Same issues, no noteheads in the printout (hard copy or PDF) when using Norfolk. :(

Joseph, I have no difficulties printing your score through PDFCreator (if you mean the PDFCreator from http://www.pdfforge.org/ ).

I have attached, just for the sake of being thorough, a copy of one page of the score printed with PDFCreator (the same one you apparently used, Robin). So what is different? Are you using Sibelius 6.2 on a Windows 7 platform? It certainly is odd that you can print it with the same software that I cannot.
