Kawai just introduced a music scoring app for iPad that appears similar to StaffPad. After downloading the free version I bought the paid version for $7.99.

I'm still learning it, but it seems like a good app. It can export to MIDI and Music XML which gives it the ability to create music snippets and potentially full scores on your iPad, and then export to Sibelius. Even as a V1.0 app, it works very well.

Nice to see my old company still coming up with some good products - I just need them to do it for Android! [Or reluctantly get an iPad :( ]

This is clearly the golden age of music handwriting applications. How cool that 3 practical and well-thought-out applications have appeared in the same moment of time.
