I'm upgrading from Sibelius 4 to 7.5 and I'm wondering if there is any educational discount on the price (currently €165,41)?

As I understand it, you get the educational discount on your initial purchase, after that you pay the same as everyone else.

I expect you've seen that forthcoming changes in the pricing scheme have been announced? Careful analysis of the options, and of your intentions regarding future updates, could save you a few quid. Unless you need to buy NOW, in which case you have only one option.

Sometimes music retailers offer a better price on the upgrade pack than you'd get from Avid. It's worth a look around.

Hi Anna,

For Sib 8, the educational subscription comes in at $8.25 a month. See http://www.avid.com/US/products/sibelius#Licensing

Actually, we've announced an amnesty for people who buy Sib 7.5 from the day we announced Sib 8 - all new users will be automatically upgraded to a perpetual Sib 8 license when it is released, which you can use if you like.
