OS X version 10.9.3
Sibelius version 7.1.3

When Sibelius is playing a DS (Del Segno) that has a first and second ending, how do you program it so that it doesn't play the repeats on the the DS. (In general this is standard practice when playing a D.S. )

It's an option in the Playback part of the Ribbon. I don't have Sibelouis handy at this moment to give you precise directions. I'm sure you'll find it!

It's under Repeats on the play tab of the ribbon. Laurence obviously needs the program before him in order to spell it correctly! ;-)

I found the button to indicate no repeats on the DS, but then the playback stopped at the coda. The measures stopped being numbered at the coda to. I don't know why. Any suggestions.

Missing bar numbers is an indication the the repeat structure is broken and that Sibelius doesn't understand it.

I'm away from computer so I can't take a look - someone will help.

I see you've started a second thread for the same problem. Repeat structure and missing bar numbers are part of the same issue.

Hi Grant,

There's something iffy about that repeat with 1st and 2nd time bars. Deleting the visible ones returns the bar numbers in the coda and the DS actually gets there - however that was not the only problem.

Some of your Coda signs were input as zymbols. These do not work in playback. You have to use the ones provided in the Text->Other System text-> Repeats (DS/DC/etc).

If you want a different appearance for the 1st and 2nd time lines without losing the functionality, you need to edit them in Edit Lines or just use the already defined closed end 2nd time. Placing multiple objects on top of each other just leads to Sibelius' confusion.
