An elementary question: is it possible to "fix" a score to be edited in a window so it doesn't move all over the place when I move my mouse. I seem to be spending more time re-adjusting the page in the window than actually editing a score. It is driving me bananas. I tried viewing the page at various sizes (like 100%) but to no avail. Your help would be much appreciated.

Have a play with the options in preferences -> Score Position

Yes try unchecking "Center Selection" in Preferences>Score Position as Steven mentioned above, and see if that helps.

Tried that. Doesn't seem to make any difference. Also tried Preferences Mouse Dragging the paper ... again to no avail.

Why does the score position keep needing to be corrected?
Why is the score moving if you move the mouse?
Do you have a mouse button pressed at the time that the score moves?
Have you tried using a different physical mouse?

Oh, we have heard of magic mouse problems before. Please try using a non-magic mouse. This is a mouse problem, not a Sibelius problem.

Mmm, it functions fine in every other program I use. It is a bit rich to have to change physical mouse every time I use Sibelius and then go back to the Apple mouse. It serves no purpose afaik to have the page jump up and down (or sideways) every time I touch the magic mouse surface. It doesn't do that in my browser or word processor.

Because you touch the surface while moving it, it is performing a click-and-drag, which moves the score.

I thought so too, so I changed Preferences > Mouse > Dragging the paper from "Drag" to "Hold Command and Drag" and unselected "Automatically scroll when dragging ...". It made no difference.

Come to think about it, this doesn't really explain anything. Why would anyone want to click and drag a page within the same window when view has been set to full page?
