I've recently installed Sibelius 6 onto a new set of laptops for our school, which worked just fine (they were all MacBook Airs). Now, however, I've just tried to install it onto my own MacBook Pro. It seems to have installed properly, but when I try to open the programme it comes up with "unspecified error" then closes the programme again. I have not yet got to the registration screen, as I seem to have to open the programme before it will let me do this.

Pls try restarting your computer.

Then try repairing permissions.

If that doesnt help, try creating a new user account, and see if it works from there.

Are you sure it is Sibelius 6?

Hi Bob,

Tried restarting, repairing permissions and installing on a new account, but none of these things made a difference.

Could this be something to do with running Yosemite? The other Macs that I installed it on successfully were all running Mavericks. I've recently updated them to Yosemite, but they're still able to run Sibelius. I wondered if maybe there is an issue installing Sibelius on a Mac running Yosemite?

Sibelius 6 is not supported on Yosemite.

for details of what doesn't work. Network licenses do not work, and individual licenses will not activate directly online: the web-browser work-around has to be used.
