For some reason I can no longer use ctrl+click to select random bars. I used to be able to do this with my Sibelius 6 on my XP computer. That computer died and I have installed it on my new Windows 7 computer. ctrl+click works for randomly selecting other items in the score such as notes, fingering, etc.; however, it will not select random bars. Any help would be appreciated.

Ctrl-Click allows selection of the SAME bar in a random selection of staves, not a free pick 'n mix throughout the score. Was it ever different?

It was never different. Ctrl-click will let you select independent bar objects, such as notes or text, but multiple selected bars must always be contiguous.

You can delselect staves in a passage selection, but not individual bars using ctrl-click. Doing so will change a system passage selection into a non-system selection.

Thanks to all. I thought I used to be able to select random bars with Ctrl+Click; however, my 72 year old brain frequently remembers how it wants the past to be rather than how it actually was. :>(
