How do I REJOIN ms 30 to 31 and get RID of the system break?

I can't look at your score on this computer. But if you mean what I think you do, select the bar after the break and, in the inspector, set Gap Before Bar to zero.

With nothing else to go on but the icon on your file, I must assume you have sib 5, so this file has been saved as sib 5. You had dragged the barline to the left as well as setting the gap before to 10. That's why it wouldn't go back.

Richard's file was sent in 7.5 because it doesn't load into 7.1.3.

I may have confused the issue. I couldn't open the file, not because of any problem with Sibelius version, but simply because the computer I was at doesn't have Sibelius.

A Gap Before Bar of 10 suggests that it was created by the Split System command. No matter - two routes to the same result.

To restore default layout, you can select the invisible handle just past the end of the stave at bar 30 then Reset Position. (As well as removing the "Gap Before..." setting on the next bar.)
