Hello,
I'd like to know whether it is possible to darken the open string notes (E,A,D,G,B,E) if they represent the root of a guitar scale.

You can make any of the dots on the diagram open or solid: circles, squares, diamonds, and even an X, from the edit guitar diagrams dialogue.
