Sib. 7.1.3: Message "Open iTunes to populate this list"
Posted by Gunther Goettsche - 01 Jan 11:39AM
Since updating to OSX Yosemite, every time I open a file with CMD-O I get the message "Open iTunes to populate this list".
This happens also when iTunes is not open.
How can I get rid of this message? Thanks for ideas!

Does this problem have any connection to Sibelius?

Sorry, I should write:
"Any time I open a Sibelius file with CMD-O......"
Of course it is not a Sibelius problem..... but I hope somebody knows a solution.

I suggest that you ask this question on an Apple forum.

There are various hits for web searches for "Open iTunes to populate this list" (it seems to be a common problem), but it is not clear which possible scenario (and therefore solution) might apply in your case.

Thanks for your postings. Following one of these links, I deleted all the ITunes preferences, as suggested on an Apple Help site. Unfortunately no success.

But now I discovered another solution: In my Sibelius preferences list I changed the file folder from "Notendateien" (which is the folder I created for my music scores) to another folder - now the iTunes message did not appear anymore.

Finally, I switched the Sibelius preferences back again to my folder "Notendateien" - and (Halleluja), no iTunes message again.

Though I don`t understand what happened, I am happy...
