Sib. 7.5: Dictionay management
Posted by CyrilP - 21 Nov 11:55AM
Hi everybody,

Because I am using kontakt, I need to modify dictionary content. Each time, I started a new score, I have to modify the dictionary content. Is it possible to save or export the dictionary in order to import to another project ?

Another thing, is it possible to disable the dictionary when Sib plays the score (then, without any interpretation about the text)?

And, I would like to know if it is possible to send a specific midi control into the dictionary. For instance, I need to change "nat" and to send ~N16,60 value (insteed of [reset]" by default) to use another sound, but I didn't find how can I do that (it is possible to change program ~P1..., standard control like ~C1..., but not for ~N for example).

Thanks in advance to help me.

All the bests guys ;)

Feel free to ask me if I am not quite clear.

Yes, you can export a style, then import that style checking 'playback dictionary' in 'import options'.

You can disable "live" text in 'play on pass' in 'playback properties' (inspector).

You may need to leave midi text in the score. It is hidden with the tilde.

great great Adrian

Concerning the second question, I have to do that one by one, I can't disable for all the text wrote in the score ?

For the third question, I know I can write technical texte by using ~N20,60 for instance, but can I do that from the playback dictionary ? I need to modify "nat" by using a midi control ~N20,60 !!

Thanks again ;)

I will have the similar problem with crescendo, but I will open another thread soon

You can do an advanced filter on specific text style and content (text string).

Regarding your third question, Cyril, I only use midi commands for instrument changes which are not included in my sound file. Until I learn how to edit this, I just type the commands into my score. Maybe someone else knows a better way to do this.
