Please do not post multiple threads on the same topic.

It really DOES NOT MATTER. Look it up on Wikipedia if you really want to know. The Core 2 Duo was obsolete 6 years ago.

Really don't need and don't appreciate the all caps in your rude response, Robin.

It's a simple, legitimate question, the specifics of which the Sibelius System Requirements leave out.

I am well aware of what Wikipedia is, and that I could go to Wikipedia to read the complete history of the Core 2 Duo Processor.

Thanks to Robert Enns for providing a helpful answer.

But so sorry to have disturbed you, Robin.

When someone skirts around answering my question, I have no choice but to post a 'multiple' thread until I get an answer.

If you had taken the time to adequately answer my question in the first place, there wouldn't be so many entries to this thread.

Rude. Ridiculous.

Further, your mention that this processor was 'obsolete 6 years ago' does not change the fact, however, that it is the processor suggested for a very recent version of the software, and therefore relevant.

What's worrying us is your declared intention to install Sibelius on a TABLET. The processor type is hardly relevant.

Maybe you're thinking of something like this 2005 Lenovo Thinkpad?

http://www.cnet.com/uk/products/lenovo-thinkpad-x60-tablet-2005/specs/

Sibelius 7.1.3 might limp along on this using Windows XP or Vista - scoring only though, it won't take the Sounds. But the only version you can currently buy is Sibelius 7.5.1 which, I believe, requires Windows 7 or Windows 8.

If you're considering one of the modern detachable-keyboard PC laptops, which might be considered a "tablet", they should run Sibelius 7.5.1 OK as long as they have full Windows 7 or 8 installed. But you won't find a current model with a core duo processor!

We ARE trying to help, really :-) Even if the answer you WANT to get isn't available.

And you do realise you're talking to a user forum - Sibelius users trying to help other? Not to Avid officials? Be nice!

Indeed, 7.5.1 should run fine on the Surface pro3. Full W8, 8gb ram, i5 cpu, 256 gb storage (512 better). You'll still need a data pad and external storage. I'd buy one if I could.

Sibelius 7.5.1,W8.1,C2Quad OC'ed to 3.4 Ghz,8 GB slower ram than I'd like, 250GB SSD.

How much is the model with the Core Duo cpu? :-)

Or, it tells you that the level of Sibelius support started to fall apart a few years ago. In which case, maybe you should be looking for better supported software instead of obsolete hardware.
