Sib. 7.5: top system in parts
Posted by Ben Moore - 24 Oct 07:41PM
I apologize if this is very basic and also if it's covered elsewhere but I've searched for quite a while now....
Some of the parts in my orchestra score have first page top systems that I can drag up closer to the top margin of the page with no problem. Other parts (like most of the string parts) won't allow me to drag the first system up nearly as far even though the margin settings are the same. What do I have to do to be able to drag the first system up? (I'd rather not attach the score but I'm happy to anyone privately.)
Thanks
Ben

It sounds as if margins are not the same for all parts. Go to Parts > Multiple Part Appearance > All Parts and set margins there.

Thanks Wim. I actually consulted the Sibelius help desk on this one. The solution was in layout>document setup>tiny arrow submenu>staff margins>adjust the top numbers lower. No idea how those numbers got reset to begin with!
