All of a sudden, when I scan the music, it no longer brings up the box that asks me if I want to finish or scan the next page. It just automatically keeps going and never ends. What has happened?
You can add more than one attachment per post--the file size limit is 900k, and simply edit your post, and attach, the second; then edit your post again, and attach the third, etc..each time the same way the same way you attached the first.
Thanks Bob

Auto scanning is what it is set for. When I select twain and try to scan it says "Scanner is not responding...please check it is powered on and connected to the computer correctly and try again.
In the summer, I had my laptop up at the cottage and I was using a Cannon scanner and it worked just fine. Last year our main computer also was able to scan on the Cannon scanner. We had to replace our printer in the fall so we no longer needed the Cannon scanner at home.
I was asking whether this scanner (the one you are trying to use with PhotoScore) works with any other scanner-using applications (apart from PhotoScore)

When you change the scanner settings, close down photoscore and restart it. Also, switch the scanner off and on again. I used to get lock-ups when changing the scanner (I have a ScanJet 4670) and this usually sorted it. You should only have to do this once.

I had a computer technician look at my computer. He discovered that if he held down the ESC key after the page scanned that it brought up the box asking if you wanted to Finish or Scan Page One. You could then go ahead and scan the next page, which it listed correctly as page two of the same score. After holding down the ESC key again, we again got the box prompting to Finish or scan Page One, not Page Two. You could continue until finished, but each time the prompt said Page One but it listed the page number correctly under the right score. You could then press the Finish button and it read the pages and correctly put them into one Score. However, if you then started to scan another piece of music, it put the first page into the previous score as the next page. The way around that was to either close the score of the previous piece or exit the program and come back in. The technician's thought was that the program may be written to handle only printers that plugged directly into the computer, which mine was originally. But now I am printing to a printer using WiFi and the language in your program may need to be changed to accommodate that type of printing.
I use PhotoScore to a network-connected scanner just fine.
There must be something wrong with the settings in your scanner software or in PhotoScore. Do you have any feedback for us on the results of trying the previous suggestions?

I have been away for a week. But yes I have. I have tried selecting the PhotoScore choice, turning off the printer and closing the program. I also tried choosing Twain and doing the same. Each time exactly the same thing happened..it doesn't stop in between pages...it just keeps on scanning. I am very frustrated.
Any other application that uses the scanner for input, for instance:
- Windows Fax and Scan;
- Microsoft Office;
- Adobe Photoshop.
This might be a scanner problem rather than a PhotoScore one, so we need some evidence that the scanner is actually working properly with other applications.
If the scanner has a document feeder, and you are trying to read a single page from the glass, then make sure that the scanner is not configured to be using the document feeder.
