I have Sibelius 6 installed on my two PC laptops. These laptops are very old now and are starting to go wrong so I want to buy a Macbook Air. Can anyone let me know if I will be able to install my copy of Sibelius 6 on the Mac and register it or do I have to uninstall one of the other PC copies first?

The rule is two registered installations at any one time.

The Macbook Air is a very pretty object, but you can get all the necessary computing power in a PC for a lot less money - and you can choose one with a numeric keypad, which is very useful for Sibelius.

You will hear other opinions, no doubt :-)

Here, in the Help menu (see attached screen shot). You'll need to be online.

You'll need to install Sibelius 6.2 straight off, not Sibelius 6.0 first. If you have installation disks they're probably 6.0. They'll do for installing the Sounds - on Mac or PC, same disks -(then download and apply all relevant updates) but you'll need to download the 6.2 installer.

If you DO go Mac, note that Sibelius 6.2 seems ok on Mavericks, but not, as yet, on Yosemite. And, as from today, Yosemite is probably what you'll get on a new Mac. Doubtless this will soon get sorted out.
