Hi when I imported a transposed score as an xml file, it imported as a non-transposed score in SIbelius. So all the notes on the page look like the transposed score, but they play at pitch, rather than transpose.

Is there a way to quickly change the piece to a transposed score but still keep the same pitches? Or am I going to have to change to a transposed score and manually transpose the staves of all the transposing instruments individually?

I've never actually imported an xml file, but I would have thought that there was an option to import as transposed or import as concert.

Failing that, select each part in the score (triple click) and manually transpose it. You can select more than one part if they are in the same key (eg all Bb instruments) with [ctrl]. Then use Note Input->Transpose and choose the appropriate transposition.

I think you're going to have to either re-import with different settings, or transpose manually.

Start off by making sure that each stave is assigned the correct instrument, otherwise things can get very confusing.

This time around I transposed manually but I'll be on the lookout for transposition settings next time I import an xml
