I think I remember choosing a preferred method somewhere in House Styles(?) in the older versions, but I can't seem to find it in 7.1.3-- the default appears to be by note. Ideas?

Heck, that's not easy to find, even with Bob's route map, especially as it's hidden right at the bottom under 'Lyric-style input'. I'm glad the default has always worked OK for me. Legacy chords are not exactly "lyric style" as you can't back edit with the arrows.
