Scores folder
Posted by Colin Baines - 17 Sep 07:00PM
Can anyone explain why, when I open my scores folder, either within or outside Sibelius, only the scores with titles from A to M appear. The others are somewhere, because if I do a search in the scores folder scores beginning N to Z will be found, but this is the only way to access scores in the second half of the alphabet.
(Windows 7)
Colin

It's a Windows display option for a folder.

Robin
I've never seen this before. A trip through folder display options shows no such option. Could it be a 32 bit Windows option?

On an open folder (the Scores folder for the original poster), right-click on white-space (not a file).

In the context menu that comes up, there are sub-menus for "Sort by" and "Group by". Select "Group by", and in the sub-menu, choose "(None)" if it is displayed: it is only displayed if you have a "Group by" option already in effect.

If that does not clear the effect, you might need to run "Check Disk" on drive C: at the next restart.

Another possibility is that the Scores folder might be filtered by name.

If you mouse-over the column-headings in a folder display, you will see a drop-down arrow appear at the right-hand side of the column name being moused-over. If you click that down-arrow, you will get a drop down menu allowing you to filter which files to see in the folder. When that filter is in effect, you will see a tick instead of a down-arrow in the column heading.
