Sib. 7.1.3: part layout problem
Posted by gryffun - 16 Sep 10:17PM
I am trying to group a number of staves together on a page. I have selected them and gone to Layout-Format-Make into page, as I usually do.

The first 7 staves are one movement and the last 2 are the start of another movement. When I try to move the top 7 down to make room for the mvt title, the bottom 2 staves spring onto the next page, even though they have been grouped together. This is a problem I frequently encounter in page layout.

Could someone please demonstrate how to cure this? I just want space at the top of the page for a title, then 7 staves, then another space for another title and 2 staves. There is theoretically enough room on the page very comfortably for this music.

In the attached SIB file, the problem is on PAGE 2 of the FLUTE part.

Thanks!

Took me a long time to figure this but, in Parts/Part Appearance/Layout, un-check 'Keep page breaks', then you will have control over formatting back. You might want to do this for 'All parts'.
