Does anyone have it working on 6.2

or does it only work on sibelius 7

I've spoke with work with Garritan and we
loaded garritan jazzb3 and gpo4 and concert band, on 2 different computers
properly and both do the same thing

only jazzb3 and Gpo4 show under devices
sounds right column

yet concert marching band does not show there on either computer
in devices, it does show in the aria mixer

they say it and issue with siblelius 6.2

again does any one have it shown in device window sounds

I have reinstalled the all upgrade to sibelius 6.2

I could use some input
I appreciate any help and very much appreciate all that have give me help with this issue

The most likely reason for your problem is that you have not installed the Sibelius SoundSet file for Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2.

Sibelius 6 does not ship with a SoundSet file for COMB2: it needs to be separately installed. The download is available on the page:

at the link "Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2". The downloaded file is called COMB2.zip and is a ZIP file which needs to be unzipped: double-click COMB2.zip and then Mac OS creates a folder called "COMB2" (beside COMB2.zip) with the un-zipped contents inside.

Inside the COMB2 folder, the SoundSet file you need is called "Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2.xml": make sure you know how to get back to that file.

To install the SoundSet file, follow these instructions precisely. Do not use Search or Spotlight at any stage.

- ensure that Sibelius is fully quit and not even running in the background: if unsure, restart the Mac OS;
- in the Finder, hold down the Option key while pulling down the "Go" menu, and select "Library";
- in the "Library" folder that opens, open the sub-folder "Application Support";
- in the "Application Support" folder, open the sub-folder "Sibelius Software";
- in the "Sibelius Software" folder, open the sub-folder "Sibelius 6";
- in the "Sibelius 6" folder, if there is not already a sub-folder called "Sounds", then create a sub-folder called precisely "Sounds" (nothing else will do);
- open the (existing or newly-created) sub-folder "Sounds";
- into this "Sounds" folder; copy the file "Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2.xml" that you earlier extracted from COMB2.zip;
- now launch Sibelius 6.

You should now find that "Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2" is available as a SoundSet selection for ARIA Player.

Yes it shows in Aria player when I go to mixer

yet, why doesn't show in active devices listing

Jabb3 and Gpo show there

is it not supposed to be there in the listing, and only in Aria player?

It will not show up in Sibelius until you have carried out the procedure listed in my post above: 11 Sep 09:20.

Yes it shows in Aria (mixer) player in sibelius

not marching band

is it not supposed to be there in the pulldown listing, and only in Aria player?

No, you need it to appear in Sibelius (as a soundset selection for Aria Player), and it will not appear in Sibelius until you have carried out the procedure in my post above: 11 Sep 09:20.

Merely showing up in the Aria mixer is not good enough for Sibelius to be able to use Concert and Marching Band: you need to be able to see it in the SoundSet selection for Aria Player in Active Devices.
