Sib. 4.x: Ending Page with New Time Signature but not a Complete Measure

I'm working on a one-page replacement for a piece of otherwise photo-copied old music (for SATB + vocal soloist, not that it matters here).

In the original, the page I'm working ends with a time signature - the previous measure was in 2/4 time, and the following _page_ will be in 4/4 time. The original music has just enough to show the new time signature - much less "real estate" than a full measure.

At the moment, I simply have a blank measure of 4/4 as my final measure - can you help me do better here? I don't want that measure, just the new time signature as in the original piece of music.

Put a page break before your last (blank) measure. Don't print the 2nd page.

You don't need to make a time change. Instead, goto Text/Special Text/Time Signatures. Type "4 [return] 4". You now have a time sig w'out any time sig properties and can be moved to any position, and no redundant measure. Place the text to the right of the final measure. Also change the final bar-line to a double bar-line.

Insert the new key signature. Send the extra bar to a new page with a page break. Don't print the second page.

(As I see Steven said :-)

No need for the redundant bar or page if you use a Special Text time sig.
