Sib. 7.5: Save Custom Page Sizes

I am layouting scores for transfer to a 12.2" tablet, whose exact screen dimension I specify as a custom page size. There appears to be no way to save that setting, I have to enter the dimensions for every new score. Am I missing something or is this an omission in the code?

If all your scores have the same House Style settings then you could export the House Style incorporating your Custom Page size and import it into all your other scores.

Not all do (scores meant for tablet display will be formatted differently than those going to regular print), but I will gladly try this method, thanks. Basically use house style as a macro-shell for that page size item.
Although I still think this issue could be addressed in a future update, for workflow reasons. Thanks for your input.

Is it actually necessary to match the screen dimensions of the tablet?

Most tablets that I have seen will scale graphic material to fit the screen. All you need to do is to get the aspect ratio of the score about right.

there is a page size that approximates that ratio pretty well, and I have compared that and the custom size- the latter gives me that little extra bit of margin predictabilitiy, when I squeeze in the maximum possible. So yes, custom size memory still is a valuable commodity to me. Thanks for the thought, though.

today I ran into the same issue: I'd love to save my custom page size options (including margins, etc.)

Is there any way to do so? Maybe something like an *.ini file which I can edit?

Custom page sizes and margins can be saved as "Manuscript Paper". Any future scores created from that Manuscript Paper will inherit the custom page size and margin settings.

If it's only staff margins that need to be saved, then they are preserved by House Styles.
