I've used Sibelius today and it has crashed twice, using it on mac. When I reloaded Sibelius it asked if I wanted to auto-recover the score that I was working on, chose yes but loaded up old version. nothing new in the back up folder so assuming that it didn't save. Is there anywhere else that the auto saved file could be ? option/preference states correct backup folder but nothing there.
Does anyone else experience Sibelius 7 crashing on a mac ?

Did you look in your Scores folder?
(Also double check your Back up and Auto Save folders.)

As a long shot, did you also do a search of your entire computer using the name of the file or as much of it as you know to try and find it?

No. If there is an AutoSave in existence, it will be offered to you when you launch Sibelius. When you close Sibelius normally, all AutoSaves are deleted, so there is no point going looking for them now.

Do not confuse AutoSaves with Auto-Backups. The only location a user is able to configure is the location of Auto-Backups. The location of AutoSaves is fixed, and hidden from the user: it is no longer the AutoSaves folder inside Backup Scores.

Sibelius should not be crashing anyway, and it would be more productive in the long term to establish the cause of these crashes.
